Q-MAC QM7001 broadband hf dipole antenna offers simple installation in a fixed base station application.
Q-MAC QM7001 HF antenna designed and built for long life. It is constructed with multi-strand stainless steel radiation elements that guarantee high resistance to corrosion. This means that the Q-MAC QM7001 will significantly outlast similar antennas.
The antenna can be mounted horizontally between two supports, or as an inverted V, with one high central support and two lower end supports.
There are two sets of mounting points on the antenna. Where there is plenty of space for installation, the insulators at the ends can be used to mount the antenna between two structures. Note the total length of the Q-MAC QM 7001 is 48 meters.
Where space is limited the white eyelets near the two small boxes should be used, in which case the remaining 8m wire sections either side are brought down to the base of the support structures and secured. If mounted this way the QM7001 will total 33 metres in length. In this situation the support structures should be a minimum height of 10 metres.
To relieve the strain on the plug, it is important that the coax is looped around the moulded strain relief on the back of the balun box (the larger box in the middle).
Note that the QM7001 is supplied complete with 30m of RG-58 coaxial cable. No mounting structures are included.
