HF Express™ enables interactive Chat and file transfer capabilities with a simple to use Windows® user interface, powered by Codan’s STANAG 5066 Stack.
Fast and reliable
Codan’s STANAG 5066 Stack compresses data and controls the modem data rate to give you the best and most reliable performance in existing channel conditions. Reliability is guaranteed with error-free data transmission provided by the 3112’s inbuilt Forward Error Correction (FEC) and interleavers, which help in recovering minordata errors, and the STANAG 5066 that ensures re-transmission if major data loss or errors occurs.
Simple to use and install
It only takes seconds to install HF Express™ and STANAG 5066 Stack with all parameters easily changeable after installation if required. All settings, including Contact Lists, are conveniently stored in files and can be easily copied or even sent over-the-air for large scale system implementation.
HF Express™ is simple to use with two main tabs, the Chat tab and File Transfer tab. The Chat tab operates in a similar way to conventional Windows® Messaging software. The File Transfer tab provides drag and drop fi le transfer capabilities similar to Windows® Explorer. With its familiar Windows® style Chat and File Transfer interface, using HF Express™ is made easy, so you won’t require much training.
Advanced Automatic Link Establishment (ALE)
When used with HF Express™, the 3112 HF Data Modem supports FED-STD-1045 ALE and JITC certifi ed MIL-STD-188-141B ALE. ALE makes establishing the best link quick and easy by automatically selecting the best channel to use and intelligently selecting the ideal data rate accordingly.
